The story of how our family got started in the beauty industry was really...fate.
Shortly after moving to Edmonton from Montreal, Bert Stogryn was working as a tinsmith, and his wife Margo Stogryn found work at the only Chinese restaurant in town. It was when her old boss from Helene Curtis happened to come into the restaurant with a request to meet Margo`s husband and family.
What they thought was a social call turned into anything but - her old boss wanted Bert and Margo to run a Helene Curtis branch in Edmonton.
Eventually in 1966, Stogryn Sales Ltd. was incorporated, becoming the exclusive distributor of Helene Curtis in Edmonton and Calgary.
This is where our story begins.
